These terms apply to your use of Selects, an AI-powered video logging application.

By creating an account or using Selects, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Selects is a desktop application that analyses video files using artificial intelligence. The service extracts screenshots and audio from your videos, processes them using third-party AI services, and returns transcription, translation, metadata, and other analysis in industry-standard formats.

Selects is currently in beta. Features may change, and the service may be unavailable at times.

Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Selects.

Credits and payment

Selects operates on a credit system. Credits are consumed based on the duration of footage you process. Current credit rates and pricing are shown on our website.

Credits are purchased in advance through our website. Payment is processed by Stripe. All prices are shown inclusive of VAT where applicable.

Credits do not expire. Once purchased, credits remain in your account until used.

No refunds. All credit purchases are final. We do not offer refunds for unused credits. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Your content

You retain ownership of all videos, audio, and other content you process through Selects.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to process any content through the service. Do not use Selects to process content you do not have rights to.

By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

AI limitations and accuracy

Selects uses artificial intelligence to analyse your content. AI systems can make mistakes. The service may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate results.

You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all output from the service before relying on it. Do not use Selects output without human review for any purpose where accuracy is critical.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any analysis, transcription, translation, or other output.

Species identification, transcription, and other AI-generated metadata should be verified by qualified professionals where accuracy is important.

Acceptable use

You must not use Selects to:

• Process content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Process content depicting the abuse or exploitation of minors
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI models
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable law

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Selects available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where practical.

Intellectual property

Selects, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors. These terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the service as permitted.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We provide Selects “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or £100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your use of the service.

Third-party services

Selects uses third-party services including Google (Gemini), Deepgram, OpenAI, and Stripe. Your use of these services through Selects is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@pullselects.com.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, or for any other reason with reasonable notice.

On termination, your right to use the service ends. Any unused credits are forfeited and non-refundable.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Entire agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the application. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
